What is AI visibility?
Whether AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews can read your website, understand what you do and mention you when people ask them for a recommendation.
What is llms.txt?
A plain text file at yoursite.com/llms.txt that summarises your website for AI assistants and links to your most important pages. It's new and optional, but cheap to add.
Should I block AI crawlers?
That's your choice. If you block them, AI assistants can't read your site, so they're less likely to recommend you. Many businesses block them by accident, through a security plugin or a copied robots.txt.
